August 2010

It has been forever since I have updated the blog. I can't believe that Noah will be a year old in 14 days. There is not a day that goes by that he doesn't do something totally amazing. These days he is waving hello and goodbye, clapping when you sing "If You're Happy and You Know It," taking steps on his own and really enjoys going to "school." He loves taking his bath and playing with all of his toys. He loves playing with his cousin's Kylie and Logan and visiting his Meme and Pop. He is just such a sweet and happy little boy. He has finally started getting some hair and it is very blond. I see a lot of Densmore and a lot of Hogue in him. He loves his groceries, especially the Gerber microwave meals and puffs. He has been using a sippy cup for a while now and likes to hold it himself. He also likes to feed himself. And he loves it when you hold his hands and walk around with him.

He is just getting over tonsillitis. We've experienced a wide range of illnesses during this first year. Everything from ear infections to strep throat to RSV to coxsacki virus. His immune system should be great by the time he is two!! Of course, I freak out every time he even gets the slightest fever and off to the doctor we go! They know us very well. Ha.

For his birthday we are having a "Pirate" party at Meme and Pop's. Very exciting.

All I can really say is that is has been a great year with our little "Bug." He is truly an angel and such an amazing gift from God. Every day is better than the next. I am looking forward to all that year two holds in store for us!

Sock Monkey

Baby Noah and sock monkey! Noah is wearing the blue jean shorts that Aunt Shirl bought him...they are a little big, but he will grow into them! :)

Baby on the go...

Baby Noah had a very busy weekend! On Saturday he went on his very first road trip. We went to the annual Hogue Family Reunion at Percy Quin State Park in McComb. It took about an hour and a half to get there and he did great! He slept the whole way there, hung out and met the family and then slept the whole way back. And then he slept great on Saturday night. Pictured above are baby Noah and cousins Kylie and Logan.

On Sunday Noah hung out by Meme and Pop's pool for just a few minutes, but then he got hot and we went on the back porch. Pictured above: Noah and Meme swinging on the back porch and Noah by the pool.

BABY D NUT?

Oh, just in case you were wondering where "D-nut" comes from...during our first sonogram, Steven and I said that Noah looked like a little Peanut. So everyone in the family started calling him Peanut. Then my friend Rebekah came up with "baby D-nut." We thought it was cute!
